Terms
The deal, in plain words.
Last updated September 11, 2026. Get This Shot is a product of Matano Enterprises LLC. Using it means agreeing to this.
What you are buying
An event: one code, an album, the hunt, fifteen-second messages, a board, a TV view, and a download of everything at full size. Tiers differ in how many guests, which extras, and how long we keep the album. Each event is a one-time payment. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
Who owns the photos
The people who took them. We claim no ownership of anything a guest adds. We hold and display those files so the product works, and we stop when the event is deleted or its retention date passes.
We will not use photos from your event to advertise Get This Shot unless you tell us we can, in writing, for that event.
What a host is responsible for
Your guests are your guests. You decide who gets the link and who you share the album with. You are responsible for telling the people at your event that photos are being collected, and for honouring it if one of them asks you to take something down. The hide and delete buttons are there so you can.
Do not use Get This Shot to collect photographs of people who have not been told it is happening, and do not use it anywhere people expect privacy.
What we will remove
We will take down and may delete without warning anything unlawful, anything sexual involving a minor, anything that exists to harass a person, and anything posted to an event by someone with no right to be there. We would rather never have to.
Refunds
If the product does not do what this site says it does, tell us and we will refund you in full. If your event has not happened yet, ask and we will refund you. After an event has run and you have the photos, we will still listen, but we will not promise the answer in advance.
How long we keep your album
This is the part people get burned on elsewhere, so it is written out in full.
Hosting. A free event is hosted for 90 days from the day you create it. A paid event is hosted for one year. That is the whole album: the photos, the clips, the messages, the board.
Downloading is free, on every tier, the entire time. Full size, every photo, in one go, as many times as you like. We do not put the download behind a tier and we do not put it behind the expiry date. If you download everything on day one and never come back, you have lost nothing.
Before hosting ends we email you twice, thirty days out and seven days out. Each email offers you three things: download everything, keep it online another year for $19, or order a keepsake book. You can do more than one, and doing nothing is also a choice.
When hosting ends the album comes off the web. New photos stop, the links stop working, and it no longer appears to your guests. We do not delete anything at this point.
For a year after that we hold your files in cold storage. Ask us at any point in that year and we will put the album back online. There is no charge for asking, and there is no clever window you have to catch.
After that year we delete the files. That is permanent in the literal sense: they are gone from our storage and we cannot get them back for you. From the day you create an event to the day it is deleted is therefore just over two years on a paid event, and just over fifteen months on a free one, with two emails and a year of grace along the way.
The address on your cards. We will not change the URL scheme of something you printed. While your album is hosted, the link on your cards works.
What we do not promise
We will not promise the service is never down. It runs on Cloudflare and is built to keep a photo even when a phone loses signal halfway through sending it, but a wedding happens once and software is software. If we have an outage during your event, tell us and we will make it right on the price. We cannot give you back a photo that was never taken.
Beyond that, our liability is limited to what you paid us for that event.
Ending things
You can end an event or close your account whenever you want, and we will delete what we hold. We can close an account that is using the product for the things listed above.
The boring part
New Jersey law applies. If something here turns out to be unenforceable the rest still stands. Questions go to hello@getthisshot.com.
